One Last Hurrah!

Our good friends Devon and Dave have officially moved from San Diego to Seattle. We were sad to see them go but this is a wonderful opportunity for them and we wish them the best! We spent a weekend in Seattle with them a few months ago and had a great time - we are already looking forward to a few more trips up that way!
Devon stayed with us her last few weeks in SD which was a blast! Dev was more than just a roomie, she was our personal chef and shopper, my running and walking buddy, Daisy's new best friend and at least once a week, she was a bad influence! Thanks Dev for everything!
Here are a few pictures from their final weekend together down here in San Diego. The day started with drinks at Rocky's, Sneak Joint, Firehouse and Tap Room and ended with a pretty serious wine tasting session back at our house. We found ourselves drinking bottomless mimosas the following morning to help ease the pain.

Jenny was having fun with her camera

4th bar of the day. Phil might have had a slice of pizza shoved in his face - sorry Phil, love this picture.
Breakfast at Ortega's in Hillcrest - Yummm
Yes, that is a large plate of bacon - 3 orders!

Maui Vacation

Heavy and I just returned from a wonderful week in Hawaii. We received an incredible gift of a weeks stay at my Aunt and Uncle's Kaanapali Aili condo - which was just amazing. We are so thankful. We had a huge master bedroom, full kitchen, dining, family and sitting area that all faced the ocean. (We also appreciate all the help with Daisy - thank you Lowe Fam, Dev and Trish!!)

We golfed 2 days of the trip, once at the Kai Course in Kaanapali and one day at the Makena Course which is about 45 minutes away. Heavy and I played A LOT better at the Kai Course, hitting triple digits in Makena. Booo
This tee box had my favorite view.

We also enjoyed bar hopping and spending a lot of time at Maui Brewing Co. They have a restaurant and a separate tasting room and we spent time at both. Heavy loves their beer!

We also took a sunset dinner cruise one afternoon, it was so pretty out on the water.

April 15th - Tax Day

My dad made it through another tax season! Not sure how he does it, 100+ days in a row of work. Well to celebrate, my dad, mom and brother booked last minute flights to head down to San Diego for the weekend. It was a nice mellow weekend! The boys got out and golfed both Friday and Saturday while the girls did a lot of walking - we ended up power walking the bay, boardwalk and Lake Murray. We did some shopping around PB and also REALLY enjoyed our meals out - Woodstocks, World Famous, The Boardwalk, Catamaran, etc.

Thanks fam for a fun visit!
Walking around in PB, she wanted to play fetch with Grandma Lynn.

Dinner at World Famous
This was during dinner at the Catamaran Hotel. Daisy really wants to eat that catfish at the top of the picture - it was hilarious to watch.
Due to some lovely allergies, this was Daisy's buddy for the weekend. She was NOT a fan.

Grady's 1st Birthday

Melissa and Derek's son Grady had his 1st birthday March 29th, its hard to believe he is a year already!! We got to celebrate last Saturday afternoon at his house - lots of food, family and friends. Daisy even got an invite...I think Grady was slightly more excited to see Daisy walk in than Heavy and I.

Easter Weekend Wine Tasting

My cousins, aunt and uncle invited us to a day of wine tasting in Temecula. It was Matt and Tarah's first wedding anniversary - it was fun celebrating with you guys!
It was a beautiful day to sip wine and champers! Nancy and Mark also came down for a visit, they even stopped and met us at our last winery.

We spent Easter Sunday with Mark and Nancy and had a few others over for a mini BBQ here at the house. It was not the traditional spread - we threw some burgers and dogs on the grill and popped in some fries! We later walked down to the bay and had a couple glasses of wine at the Catamaran. It was a very nice weekend!
MINUS that earthquake...one of the longest scariest quakes I have ever witnessed.

Krissy and Tito are having a baby!

The Banuelos Family are just about pop out a baby boy!! Krissy is due May 5th...Cinco de Mayo! Im pretty sure she is going to have him early though. My guess is April 30th!
Fortunately I was able to get up to Sacramento to help celebrate at their baby shower. A bunch of family and friends made it up, it was a great day.

Can't wait to meet you Julian!
